3rd-Grade (Kitah Gimel) Class Update

Dear Kitah Gimel (3rd-grade) Families,

How the time flies! We can’t believe our year has already come to a close. We are so proud of everything our Kitah Gimel students accomplished!

This year was full of many laughs, highlights, and surprises. We blew the shofar for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, shook the Lulav and Etrog in the Sukkah, lit all 9 candles in our Hanukkiah, and dressed up for Purim. We learned lots of new Hebrew vocabulary and practiced our reading and writing skills. We danced to upbeat Hebrew songs in music and led our community in Havdalah during Mifgash. Then, when the world changed in ways that we could never predict, we came together online. Although we couldn’t play in the halls during break or give high fives on the way out the door, we rose to the challenge and created a new virtual classroom. We are incredibly impressed with how our Kitah Gimel families and students worked hard to continue their learning and connect with their teachers and peers online. We could not have asked for a greater group of students to work through this time.

We are so thankful to be part of such a warm, caring community of families. Thank you for everything you do to make our classroom a success! Please know that although the school year is over, our class community will not disappear. We are already looking forward to saying hello to our students in the halls of Talmud Torah as they enter Kitah Dalet!

We are wishing you all a safe, healthy, and happy summer!

B’Shalom,

Polly & Sofya
