Israel

We have been studying about Israel for a few weeks and each pair of students chose a certain area of Israel to study and write about on their Israel Project. We have an Israel lesson intermittently with our Torah lessons, and after the projects have been prepared, students will teach about their area to the rest of the class in a peer teaching situation.

Torah

We have been studying about Abraham’s life. Many Torah texts and midrashim have been helpful to explain how unique a person he was. This past week we have been reading about the “Akedah” (the Binding of his son Isaac), the most profound personal experience in the history of our Patriarchs. We are in the midst of it this week, and this troubling and fascinating text has made for some very good discussions in class. I will say more on that next blog.

We are so excited about our upcoming Living Museum. RSVP HERE

Please join us for our Grand Opening Reception on Sunday, March 1, at 10:30 am.
