Het (8th Grade) Teachers

Dear Kitah Het (8th grade) families,

Welcome to Kitah Het (8th grade)! We are excited to learn with and from our students and build a strong classroom community. We specifically chose to teach 8th grade as we love their ever-expanding capacity to hold multiple truths and to question what they are learning and have learned. As lifelong learners, we hope our class will be an inspiration for our students to continue grappling with these big topics, Holocaust and Israel.

Here's a brief intro for our teaching team this year:

Anne Hope (she/her):

I'm looking forward to reconnecting with students that I know and am excited to meet those whom I don't know. I've spent many years working in the Jewish community as a youth director at Temple Israel then Beth El, Director of Camp Teko then Herzl Camp, and, for the past 6 years, I've worked as the EMTZA Region USY Engagement Director. When I'm not at Talmud Torah, I work at myHealth for Teens & Young Adults, take long walks, kayak, spend time with my family, and read as much as possible.

Tali Levin (she/her):

Welcome! I am excited to join the Talmud Torah team this year with our 8th-grade group. I have dedicated the last 10 years to various Jewish education programs in the Twin Cities, including five years with 7th - 9th graders at Beth El Synagogue. I have earned a bachelor's and master's degree in education. In my free time, I enjoy playing instruments, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and going on walks around the lake. Looking forward to a great year!
